Dearest family members,

I was so sorry to hear that Lucille had passed. I have the fondest memories, a photograph of us laughing and a bonsai tree she gave me, which is still beautiful and graceful. I missed her greatly when she retired and will do so more now. I considered her a friend. You have my deepest condolences.

Lucille was the Great Presence in Coram Library when the Psychology Department was housed there. We loved her: wonderful sense of humor, always upbeat, extremely helpful. I also loved seeing her at Bates basketball games after she retired. We were fortunate to have her in our lives.
